Sadat X’s Next Album, Sum Of A Man To Be Produced Exclusively By Diamond D

On Monday (January 26), Ambrosia For Heads premiered the latest video from Diamond D’s The Diam Piece. “The Game,” produced by Diamond, featured Hempstead, Long Island MC/producer Grand Daddy I.U., delivering several verses around New York City, and a Bronx bar.

Speaking with AFH, Diamond also confirmed that after a busy 2014, he has a big collaborative work on deck for 2015. “I’m exclusively producing an album for Sadat X,” revealed the D.I.T.C. co-founder for the first time. “The name of the album is Sum Of A Man. That should be out in the summertime.”

The news arrives on the heels of Sadat X’s Never Left (which has a free streaming sampler). Released January 20 on Fokis’ Loyalty Digital Corp, the Brand Nubian MC and fellow Bronx, New York native turns his sights to his eleventh solo work—not including his other group, Trinity. “The time is right,” added Diamond. I know he got an album out this [month], but the next joint that he does it’ll be on my label [Dymond Mine Records]. I produced the whole album.”

For more than 20 years, Diamond and Sadat have worked together in various capacities. Diamond would produce Brand Nubian single “Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down” from 1993’s In God We Trust, with work on 1998’s Foundation as well. Sadat would appear on all of Diamond D’s first three solo albums, and his mixtapes, with Diamond extensively working on Sadat’s solo catalog.

Last year, Dymond Mine Records released Doomsday by Atlanta, Georgia MC Big REC, produced entirely by Diamond D. The Diggin’ In The Crates producer/MC/DJ is also at work with artist Blake Moses, and has plans to do an MC tour through Europe later this year.
