When Troy Ave arrived on the scene in the early 2010s, the Brooklyn, New York MC immediately drew a lot of comparisons to G-Unit. In those days, G-Unit was fading, if not broken up. In 2015, Young Buck and 50 Cent are crewed up again, making some potent street music, and keeping the digital charts busy.

With that said, Buck invited Troy and his proclaimed favorite rapper, Fif to “Drug Money.” Built around an Isaac Hayes loop, the three D-boys explain how their pockets are fat, never flat, and talk slick with superior rhyme skills. Just a radio rip, the volume and quality isn’t the best—but something feels like this is a power-play that might be getting much more play to come.
