Heads may or may not be up on MoSS, yet… Working closely with DJ Premier and Year Round Records for years, the Toronto, Ontario producer has produced for certified lyrical vets such as Ghostface Killah, Sean Price, and Big Shug. Having also contributed a full project with Eternia (2010’s At Last), Moss really came in swingin’ through work on AZ’s 2005 A.W.O.L. album, making it known his sound stood out.

Three consummate supporters of MoSS come together to remind the slow-learners that the T-Dot beat butcher is nothin’ to sleep on. “Started” features AZ, along with DJ Premier (who was also part of A.W.O.L.), and Joe Budden. A trio that’s never worked together as a unit before, Premo lays down some words on MoSS’ behalf, while A and Joe bum-rush the bars on a sweet and soulful beat.

As !llmind, Statik Selektah, and Oh No have really stepped up majorly from the mid-2000s class, is MoSS next up?
