From one of 2014’s highlight albums comes the video to one of the album’s highlight tracks. “You Should Know” featuring Dwele is a standout on PRhyme, with DJ Premier scratching it up between warm notes and hard drums (thank Adrian Younge for that), and Royce Da 5’9″ presenting his verbal essays with razor sharp cadences, and the animated flow he’s had since Heads first heard him.

Dwele appears in the video, filmed in an abandoned, gritty setting. DJ’ing, MC’ing, and graffiti writers enhance the gritty feel for the record that shows warmth and fellowship in the cold conditions. Kind of like PRhyme on record store shelves…

As a reminder, DJ Premier’s Premier Wuz Here online store has a completely expanded merchandise section, featuring official Gang Starr clothing, Works Of Mart merch, and even some Pete Rock-related goodies.
