Dizzy Wright, Big K.R.I.T., and Tech N9ne all love a good party record. These three MCs are masters at bringing the vibes of a strip club, a house party, or a festival to a track, with commanding energy. However, part of the reason all three artists are in an elite class of musicians is also their depth.
On Dizzy’s “God Bless America,” all three get incredibly deep. The smooth chorus from Chel’le tells one story, while all three artists capture the glory of the land of the free, while still admitting dissatisfaction with government, social systems, and more. The song is patriotic but not blindly so. These artists, who all have celebrated liberties, in the music industry and as men, also know what they’re up against. In a powerful collaboration, the song is skill, perspective, and the power of three men’s (and one woman’s) voices.
