Easy Mo Bee Brought Us Biggie, GZA, & Craig Mack. So Meet Emskee (Audio)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

In terms of talented producers with ears for development, Brooklyn, New York’s Easy Mo Bee is one of the best. The DJ/producer helped cultivate the careers of The Notorious B.I.G., Craig Mack, and GZA. Additionally, Mo Bee worked extensively with Tupac during the mid-1990s, in addition to critical work with Big Daddy Kane, Cormega, and Miles Davis.

Perhaps the next artist in Mo Bee’s repertoire is Emskee. Em’ is a Bushwick, Brooklyn MC (and DJ) who has a true-school sound to him. Charismatic on the mic, Emskee flips words with precision, as Mo Bee hits him with a stellar drum arrangement. Two For One is the pair’s upcoming album on Fresh Pressings. They share a nearly 12-minute sampling of what’s on the album, which—in many ways—sounds like a 20 year-old LP that was cryogenically frozen, until now…

Easy Mo Bee’s been quiet lately. Is Emskee going to be a wake-up call?
