Amy Winehouse only lived to be 27 years old. The London, England songstress’ 2011’s death came as a major tragedy, following two breakthrough albums at the time of her passing. However, Amy’s skills were honed long before she inked a deal with Island Records, and got in the studio with producer Salaam Remi.

From the upcoming Amy documentary, Winehouse fans can see a video of a 14 year-old teenager, effortlessly singing “Happy Birthday To You.” Making some innuendo comments and being an awkward teen shows that Amy Winehouse is not that different from most, but towards the end, when she starts blasting the age-old melody from her lungs, you can feel the extraordinary potential she possessed, even circa 1997.
