Every few years, Havoc switches it up on us. The Mobb Deep producer/MC’s sound on the boards changed greatly from The Infamous to Infamy, and both ways, the M-O-B-B still had grime that wiped across the charts.

Gearing up for Papoose’s You Can’t Stop Destiny (July 17), Hav’ hits the BQE to deliver Pap’ and Troy Ave a rumbling beat that rattles the trunk. Fittingly titled “Mobbing,” this is New York street-fighter music, with confidence on the mic, and fire in the speakers. The moment signals a new sound for Hav, and a dazzling display from Troy and Pap’:
