One year to the day after The Water[s], Chicago, Illinois MC Mick Jenkins returns to the shore with The Wave[s]. The Cinematic Entertainment artist follows his acclaimed breakthrough with 29 minutes, and nine tracks. Production duties include Sacramento, California veteran Lee Bannon (Joey Bada$$, Souls Of Mischief) and Montreal, Quebec’s KAYTRANADA (Mobb Deep, Vic Mensa).

Many of the themes and vibes heard on the 2014 release are further explored on this release, the second high-profile effort to be premiered through NPR’s First Listen stream. The EP formally releases on August 21.
