One Week From His Album Release Method Man Leaks More Heat From The Meth Lab (Audio)

It is one week (August 21) until Method Man releases The Meth Lab on Tommy Boy Entertainment. The Wu-Tang co-founder teams with several of his Clansmen on the upcoming project, as well as Cory Gunz, Uncle Murda, and Mack Wilds. However, a key ingredient to The Meth Lab is the Staten Island, New York MC creating a stage for some of the MCs he feels are next.

Cardi, Eazy Get Rite, and Freaky Marciano are three such New York City rhyme-spitters. The three take that offered light on “Lifestyles.” Fittingly, the song is about the vivid dreams all these hungry Hip-Hop lyricists deal with, even if it is just a dream. Upon waking up, all three acts are living in a cold world, trying to get on. Just as Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) afforded Mr. Mef’ 22 years ago, perhaps The Meth Lab will change the game for each.

The fourth single fromĀ The Meth Lab, Heads can visit the album’s Bandcamp page to dabble in “The Meth Lab,” “Straight Gutta,” and the Raekwon and Inspectah Deck-assisted “The Purple Tape.” Once there, fans can see the various personalized and limited edition packages surrounding The Meth Lab. These include an “ice” blue 2LP virgin vinyl offering, deluxe CD with O-card, an “herb grinder” credit card, t-shirt, and extremely limited edition “crystal” blue cassette callback to the purple tape era. Of the tapes, the first 250 come with a cassette player and headphones. As an enticement, some early orders will reportedly be autographed by Iron Lung MC himself…

As Method Man comes from a crew of MCs that used every chance they got to get notice, how do you feel about these three MCs (appearing in the order they’re credited)?
