Prince Paul & Wordsworth To Feature On “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” Series

This week (October 9), Dreamworks Animation Studio will launch its latest series, “Mr. Peabody & Sherman.” Appearing exclusively on Netflix, the series is a reboot of the famed “The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show” time-traveling affiliates which aired from 1959 to 1964. Former “SNL” cast member Chris Parnell is the voice of both title characters.

Additionally, however, two Hip-Hop veterans will be appearing in the show, and on its just-released soundtrack. Grammy award-winning producer/DJ Prince Paul and eMC member Wordsworth are featured in the show, as Words’ told Ambrosia For Heads today (October 5). According to Under The Radar magazine, the two New Yorkers also appear on the soundtrack’s cut “Ferris Wheel.”

With 13 episodes of the animated series hitting Netflix, this marks a return to television for Wordsworth, who famously appeared on MTV’s “Lyricist Lounge Show.” Last month, he released album New Beginning with Donel Smokes, featuring Blu, Masta Ace, and Chali 2na, among others. Prince Paul works with the series after recently making a foray with New York City stage-show “Negroes On Ice,” co-starring his son, DJ P Forreal. Beyond Hip-Hop, Paul has worked in Comedy, producing Chris Rock albums, as well as making short films for several of his solo and Handsome Boy Modeling School albums.
