Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, Jadakiss & Styles P Prove The Conglomerate Is Still In Tact (Audio)

In 2009, Busta Rhymes called upon Jadakiss and Lil Wayne for his biggest single on the Back On My B.S. campaign. “Respect My Conglomerate” permeated the slang of the streets, as Bus’ proved that he could blend in any grouping of MCs, whether Native Tongues, Young Money, or D-Block.

In a six-years removed sequel, The LOX return. This time, Jadakiss brought Styles P with him, along with Def Jam Records label-mate Fabolous. It’s a New York City thing as the four MCs are still supported by the catchy female vocals calling for the respect. This beat, however, is all the more brolic—with a Digital Underground-informed chorus. Moreover, Busta’s lead verse weaves in some classic Run-D.M.C. to make the conglomerate appeal to a wider audience. The super collabo is big on attitude, wordplay, and unflinching self-assurance.
