KRS-One & Bumpy Knuckles Speak Truth To The People, On A Def Jef Remix (Audio)

In 2011, KRS-One and Bumpy Knuckles (a/k/a Freddie Foxxx) released Royalty Check. The 6.8.2 Records affair was 20 years after the two New York City hardcore MCs had worked together on “H.E.A.L.,” and followed up with “Ruff Ruff.”

In the last weeks of 2015, Bumpy shares a special remix of non-album cut “Talk To The People.” Produced by another veteran MC/producer Def Jef (Tupac, Snoog Dogg, Mary J. Blige), the song is about reaching the people through hardcore, visceral raps that they can relate to. This wisdom explains why there is more than 60 years of professional MC’ing from these two lyricists.

KRS-One’s Now Hear This album released this week.
