Royce Da 5’9″ & Ras Kass Are Big On Witty Lyricism And Lots Of Attitude (Audio)

Ras Kass and Royce Da 5’9″ have a history of collaborations. Both of these MCs hit the 2000s as lyrical tour de forces. Both men would subsequently face label woes, personal and legal battles, and an ever-changing focus of what’s hot in Hip-Hop. But neither artist wavered, continually serving fans the kind of music that made them notable in the ’90s.

In 2015, Royce Da 5’9″ is now a gold-certified artist with multiple major groups around him, and an acclaimed solo career. Meanwhile, Ras Kass’ most recent LP, 2014’s Blasphemy, has been in contention as possibly his best work. As these lyrical athletes show no signs of aging, Razzy shares a new mix to archival song, “Attitudes.” Originally released as a video single in 2010, this new mix will appear on 2016’s Free EP, Hip-Hop Is Dead. The six-song EP also features Guilty Simpson, and Rampage of Flipmode Squad fame. Whether you caught it years ago or are hearing it for the first time, “Attitudes” may have a chip on its shoulder, but it’s sure to make lyric-lovers smile.
