Nothing But Net: Kanye West Reveals Release Date To “Swish”
On Friday (January 8), Kanye West returned to his late-week excitement. The G.O.O.D. Music founder released “Real Friends” and a snippet of “No More Parties In L.A.” through his own website.
Thanks to Hype Trak, some additional information has leaked regarding both recordings. The former, apparently features co-production by Boi-1da (Drake), Mobb Deep’s Havoc, Frank Dukes and SEVNTHOMAS. The latter song features some co-production by Madlib, and a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar. Hype Trak points to the fact that elements of this song go back to the Stones Throw Records documentary, Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton, and an interview surrounding 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
As that information may be confirmed in the days ahead, Kanye West put a pin in the calendar. Swish, ‘Ye’s seventh solo album, will release February 11, 2016. The veteran MC/producer confirmed the date via Twitter for the Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Records album:
Swish February 11 16

This is Kanye’s first solo album since 2013’s platinum, #1 album, Yeezus. As was the case with M.B.D.T.F., it is unclear if either the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Real Friends” or “No More Parties In L.A.” will make the album.
