This Far Reaching Mix Sprinkles Some Of J Dilla’s Best & Rarest Donuts

Next month (February 5-7), the second annual J Dilla Weekend will take place in Miami, Florida. The three-day event features music performances, exhibits, panels, and more. Pre-sale ticket packages are available. At present, Dilla’s onetime group Slum Village, and a host of collaborators are signed on for the event. Additionally, others artists influenced by Jay Dee’s style, message, and music are also included.

One artist attached to the weekend festivities is DJ YNOT. The Miami, Florida based veteran previously made a mix called More Donuts, honoring the work of J Dilla. The hour-plus effort celebrates the many iterations and movements of Dilla’s career, which spanned from the mid-1990s into his 2006 death, and beyond.

This well-sequenced mix (also available for download) features Dilla’s works Common, JayLib, Slum Village, A Tribe Called Quest, The Pharcyde, and plenty of solo donuts too.

Look out for YNOT to be rocking many parts of this mix next month at the second annual J Dilla Weekend.
