A-F-R-O’s Razor Sharp Flow Cuts Right Into Vinyl Grooves. Literally. (Video)

Bellflower, California MC A-F-R-O has gone from Internet-fan obscurity to downright stealing the show with his inventive rhyme patterns and nimble flow. After a prominent part in Vh1’s The Breaks, the R.A. The Rugged Man protege now has captivated the attention of Colin Hanks. Heads may know Hanks from his role in films like Orange County and series like Mad Men, but he is also son of Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks—one of the offspring who does not rap. He directed a new video of All Flows Reach Out teamed with band NGHTMRE.

Together, A-F-R-O and NGHTMRE appeared on video at Los Angeles, California’s Fairfax Studios to perform “Stronger.” Unlike most studio sessions, the band and MC take the performance and record it directly to vinyl. In one take, All Flows shows that he does not break under pressure. Instead, he busts the track that has a different sound to what is on his Tales From The Basement mixtape. This track was showcased in UpRoxx’s “The Power Of A Dream” series.

Stay tuned for A-F-R-O’s EP with Marco Polo.
