In 2016, Public Enemy Still Brings The Noise Like Few Others Can (Video)
No doubt some of the greatest recording artists of all time, the members of Public Enemy are also serious contenders when it comes to high-energy and memorable live performances. Known for including thought-provoking visuals and often incorporating live bands into their sets, the Long Island, New York legends continue to put on seriously dope stage productions nearly thirty years since debuting with Yo! Bum Rush the Show in 1987. The five-time Grammy-nominated group also continue to release compelling Hip-Hop, most recently in the form of 2015’s Man Plans God Laughs.
Since then, the fellas have maintained a busy touring schedule, including a date at the Austin, Texas festival South by Southwest last month for a rousing performance of “Bring the Noise.” There, what could have been a Public Enemy performance those not in attendance may have only gotten a chance to see through some shaky cell-phone footage became the subject of an insanely dope visual treatment, thanks to the good folks at Samsung. At the Galaxy Life Fest, the company’s talented cameramen and audio team captured all of the energy from both PE and the audience in a clip that is bound to leave you ready to buy tickets for a future performance.
