Lawrence, Massachusetts MC REKS has worked with some of Hip-Hop’s most celebrated producers. From DJ Premier to Large Professor, Pete Rock to Alchemist, the ShowOff/Brick Records MC has had access to  the kind of beats that has peers could dream of.

“Jump Shots” is a single, produced by D.I.T.C.’s Buckwild. The hit-maker for Black Rob, O.C., and Big L laced REKS with a slow moving creation, enhanced by Statik Selektah’s scratches on the turntables. Rhythmic Eternal King Supreme takes Biggie Smalls’ famous line about alternative living to young Black males without “a wicked jump-shot” and receives a pass on the court to shoot reminders of his own talents. The 15-plus-year independent Hip-Hop mainstay plays his position deftly, and has become a star around his own team.

The visual, as premiered at HipHopDX, features great archival footage of The Notorious B.I.G., as well as some NBA greats who hit jumpers in the clutch.
