Big Sean, Chance The Rapper & Jeremih Channel-Surf Into Living Single (Audio)

In the last 24 hours, Jeremih released his Late Nights: Europe mixtape. An extension of 2015’s Late Nights album, the freebie was reportedly supposed to feature “Living Single,” featuring Big Sean and Chance The Rapper. In the end, that not happen—allegedly due to clearance issues surrounding Sean (though both are Def Jam acts). As Game, Ty Dolla $ign, and Wiz Khalifa made the project, as this single made its way online through its own path on the same day.

“Living Single” is more than just a clever name. The record reaches back to the 1990s FOX series starring Queen Latifah and Kim Coles. Reworking the groovy theme chorus to the show, the three artists look at time spent unattached, and why “living single” these days has a lot of plot points with its long nights and romantic adventures. Even without strings attached, the song pays its respects to the flings that keep the single life interesting.
