With 4th of July in our collective rear-view mirrors, the summer is in full swing and with it comes the familiar sights and sounds of the season. Backyard barbecues, stoopside games of cards and dominoes, sunkissed skin, and a months-long air of celebration. There have been plenty of Hip-Hop songs and videos inspired by such traditions, one of the latest being a breezy, New York City styled summer ode from Lil Cease, Jadakiss, and LD.

Directed by Mazi O., the video for “Summer Breeze” relies on the simple pleasures of a sunny day to deliver its uplifting message. Shot on a classic Brooklyn, New York block (featuring cameos from Skyzoo and others), it’s the latest visual offering from Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s Ceasalio, who is reportedly working on an album with his friend from D Block. As Lil Cease told the FADER of the album, “Jadakiss is helping me put it together, it’s like a D-Block M.A.F.I.A. project.” Until more details of the joint effort are released, Heads can vibe to what appears to be the project’s first single, which samples Seals & Croft’s 1972 hit single of the same name.

Jadakiss is also featured on ScHoolboy Q’s Blank Face LP, which dropped on July 8.
