RAIN910 is an MC and producer who has pursued full creative control of his career since its genesis. It was a decade ago when he dropped the first of his mixtapes to make waves nationwide, and in the years since Only in America, he has not fumbled with the reins, and operates according to the mantra “whatever is going on in the industry, I am going to do the opposite.” Having opted out of signing with labels despite being approached by many, he founded First in Flight Entertainment to steer his own trajectory. For years, he has been consistently favored as one of the best performers during the BET Hip-Hop Awards cyphers, and his appearances on over 100 national mixtapes have made him a staple in the streets.

Born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina – whose very own J. Cole is enjoying historic success following a similar path of self-determination – RAIN910’s work with the likes of Dr. Dre, Rocwilder, Nottz, and Paul Wall has earned him the respect of the well-established, and his work with Smack the Ultimate Rap League (URL) has made him a mainstay in the underground circuit. With his forthcoming Til Death Do Us Part arriving soon, he delivers the self-produced (and hook free) “Smiling Faces.” Is he Ready or Not?
