La Coka Nostra’s Slaine & Ill Bill Deal Dope Freestyles Right On “Ill Street” (Video)
Just over one month ago, super-group La Coka Nostra released their third album, To Thine Own Self Be True. The crew’s feature MCs Slaine and Ill Bill stopped by Statik Selektah’s ShowOff Radio Show in the last week. Over Kool G Rap & DJ Polo’s “Ill Street Blues” instrumental, the Boston-to-Brooklyn tandem went to work.
Slaine locks in and drops a truly impressive freestyle that deals with his changing lifestyle and double-threat status as an actor and rapper. Bill follows, pulling out the phone to kick a verse of facts from the Non-Phixion album. These are two MCs who used freestyle rapping to carve successful careers for themselves, and still are mastered in the art.
