Masta Killa Is Releasing His First Album In 5 Years. His New Single Shares OG Wisdom (Audio)

Wu-Tang Clan’s own Masta Killa is preparing to release his upcoming album, Loyalty Is Royalty, on Nature Sounds this fall. The LP will be his first solo effort since Selling My Soul in 2012, and his fourth overall. Although the veteran Brooklyn, New York MC may not put out music as regularly as some of his Wu-Tang brethren, he typically leaves listeners with gems when he does.

Wu-Tang Clan Affiliate Joe Young Drops One Mighty Music Video With Masta Killa.

Following the album’s first single, a video banger featuring Method Man and Redman titled “Therapy,” Masta Killa previews another dope cut. This time he enlists the services of Philly’s Boy Backs and Wu affiliate Moe Roc. On “OGs Told Me,” the MCs kick streetwise rhymes, dropping some serious jewels, and pay homage to those that once guided them. The track is produced by Dame Grease, an OG in his own right, who has made classic songs with artists like Nas, DMX, and The LOX. Within the Clan, he also produced the track “M&N” off Raekwon’s The Wild, released earlier this year.
