To spark his major label tenure, this Texas MC makes a powerful piece of music titled “Like Me,” with a video to match. The “Like Me” visual does an effective job of translating the song’s intensity. Images of Bobby about to be hanged in a forest are cut with black-and-white footage of the rapper chasing down a white police officer, and pushing him to the ground. Sessions delivers blows to the cop while also driving home his verse. The Hz’ torchbearer then appears covered in blood at the 2:10 mark, literally screaming at the camera. This video is symbolic and jarring at once.
