Nas & Black Star Will Share The Stage This Summer

Nas and Black Star are two championed Hip-Hop acts. Whereas Nas has released 11 solo albums, in addition to compilations, and group work with The Firm and Distant Relatives, Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey have just one group LP. In 2018, reports are lingering that both entities have album plans ahead.

As Hip Hop Heads wait and see, all three MCs will share a stage this summer at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheater. On July 31, they’ll perform at the historic outdoor rocky mountain venue. Pusha T and Brother Ali will also provide sets.

Colorado has become a meaningful place for Black Star in 2018. In February, Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def) grabbed the mic to tell Madlib concert-goers in Denver, “New Black Star with Madlib, Talib Kweli, Yasiin, coming soon!” Later in the month, Kweli clarified to HipHopDX,“It looks like it might happen…I found out [the news] on the Internet the same way y’all did. We’ve been talking about doing an album with Madlib for years. That’s been an idea we’ve had for so long, but for him to make that announcement…I didn’t know [Yasiin Bey] was going to make the announcement.” The Brooklyn, New Yorkers have kept mile-high show-goers entertained already this year.

Tickets for the July 31 event go on sale tomorrow (April 13).
