Christina Aguilera Recruits Ty Dolla $ign & 2 Chainz On A Kanye West Track (Video)

Christina Aguilera has not released an album since 2012’s Lotus, but she’s re-seizing the spotlight to let her fans know that she’s far from through musically. For her first single, “Accelerate,” from Liberation, she stepped into the Hip-Hop world, tapping Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz for verses, and Kanye West for the production. Zooey Grossman directed the visual for the song, which was reportedly created prior to ‘Ye’s last album. The pair of superstar musicians reportedly met up at Rick Rubin’s California studio.

As for the rest of Liberation, Billboard recently spoke with Christina, who says Kanye West produced another song on the LP called “Maria,” which samples the Sound of Music song by the same name as well as Michael Jackson. Mike Dean and Anderson .Paak are also reportedly involved in the production of the album. Liberation is slated for a June 15 release.
