Royce 5’9, Jadakiss, Fabolous & Pusha T Put The Summer On Lock With A Hot Collabo (Audio)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home, but we need your help to make it great. Please subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Life is too short to listen to bad music. So…let AFH fight through it for you and only supply you with that great stuff. Despite the reports, Hip-Hop is alive and well and, in many ways, is better than it’s ever been. Not only are we able to go back and listen to all of our favorites, at the click of a button, there is also a ton of great music still being made by artists, young and veteran alike…if you know where to look. To help with that task, we’ve created a playlists with recent music—songs that have been released within the last year or so. We update it regularly, so, if you like what you hear, subscribe to follow us on Spotify.

Today (May 4), Royce 5’9 releases his seventh solo album, Book Of Ryan. The Detroit veteran’s latest LP includes “Summer On Lock.” For an album that already features J. Cole and Eminem on two of its video singles, this track involves more stars: Pusha T, Jadakiss, Fabolous, and Dancehall artist Agent Sasco. As the seasons are changing and temperatures this Spring are on the rise in many regions, this track clears the way for Nickel Nine to dominate Hip-Hop Heads’ earphones and speakers for weeks and months ahead.

The LOX MC raps about survival in his New York Streets, from tips on how to improve a bid to avoiding speed-traps. Closing out the cut, Fabolous throws brag raps about his plush living spaces and witty one-liners about his nonchalance and spending sprees. Pusha T, who is a Def Jam label-mate of ‘Kiss and Fab’, takes the chorus, reminding listeners that his dominance is not exclusive to warm weather months.

In addition to new music from Royce 5’9, the playlist features recent music from Nickel’s group PRhyme, Phonte, Kanye West, J. Cole, Drake, Logic, Kendrick Lamar, Black Milk, Eminem, Lute, Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa, Statik Selektah, Brent Faiyaz, Freddie Gibbs, Arin Ray, CyHi The Prynce, Saba, Scarface, Rapsody, Sylvan LaCue, Evidence, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Big K.R.I.T., Nipsey Hussle, and a host of others.
