UPDATE: Following an altercation with Nicki Minaj just hours ago, Cardi B has released a statement. Written to Nicki, the Instagram post alleges that Minaj attempted to black-ball Cardi in the industry. Cardi also says that she confronted Nicki twice about the reported behind-the-scenes tactics to hold back the Bronx, New York rapper’s collaborations and opportunities.

However, the altercation stemmed from Nicki reportedly criticizing Cardi B’s mothering. The Atlantic Records rapper gave birth in the last year, fathered by Migos member (and Nicki collaborator) Offset. “When you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f*ckin’ off!” Cardi continued, “I’ve worked [too] hard and come too far to let anybody f*ck with my success! B*tches talk all that sh*t in they raps but in real life they p*ssy,” she charges.
