Eminem & Slaughterhouse Revive Rap City With A Backroom Freestyle + Interview (Video)

Although “Rap City” has been largely defunct in the Slaughterhouse-era, the Shady Records super-group is a call-back to the latter years of BET’s flagship Hip-Hop program. Individually, Royce Da 5’9, Joe Budden, Crooked I were part of the Basement-era. Eminem was among Rap’s biggest stars in the Big Tigger era too.

BET revived “Rap City” for Marshall Mathers LP 2 week. Tigger was given the difficult duty of going first, but he—and everybody else, had some great Rap bravado and a chip on their shoulder. Just Blaze was on the CDJ wheels, while !llmind supplied a simple beat that matches the kick and snare vibe from #MMLP2.
