Prince Gives Some Game To The Lovers, Courtesy Of Clouds (Audio)

In the last 24 hours, it was revealed that while Eminem has a double-album/compilation coming, Prince has two September releases of his own, on the same day.

Included in the double-dip is “Clouds.” Given the themes of the song, it sounds to be a likely Art Official Age inclusion—although 3rd Eye Girl’s involvement appeared reserved for Plectrum Electrum.

In the single, which has some of the production chops Prince helped innovate in the mid-1980s, Prince urges lovers to take their time in the act, despite living in a fast-gratification era. The song criticizes the consciousness of the now, and points to making love as timeless ecstasy.
