A Hungry Rapper Steps To Kanye West Looking For A Deal & Might Get A Job (Video)

Last May, on the streets of New York, an aspiring rapper pushed through the masses and tried to rap for Kanye West on the sidewalk, with entourage in tow, headed home for the night. To the surprise of many, ‘Ye not only listened, he complimented the assertive hopeful.

Nearly a year later, Kanye West was in Hollywood, exiting a Big Sean listening party during the Grammy weekend festivities. Mr. West appeared in an especially pleasant mood. So as he was being escorted to his luxury car, one hopeful from Ohio, Cameron Grey, begged to rap for the G.O.O.D. Music founder. Separated by more than two rows of people, West obliged—and listened in on a freestyle, followed by some fragmented writtens.

Early into the bars, Grey outright asks West for a deal. He repeats himself later, perhaps knowing that a similar meeting brought Kanye and Big Sean together nearly a decade ago, in Detroit, Michigan. West seemingly extends the possibility of an Assistant job within his circle. Who could have ever seen that coming?

Do you think Cameron’s approach or his talents led to this possible opportunity?
