Ambrosia For Heads’ Finding The GOAT series, the search for the Greatest Of All Time MC (as determined by you), began in September, 2014 and is soon down to its final 42 contestants. At 11:59pm EST on Saturday March 7, Round 2 polls will close, kicking off Round 3. But before the next match-up’s are unveiled, a lot remains to be determined.

Save for a ballot-box rush, Round 3 will most likely contain the following legends. Taking more than 35 years of Hip-Hop into consideration, these artists—many of whom were First Round Byes, advanced against touted peers from their respective eras. Just look at these landslide leaders, moving in for the GOAT crown:

Big Daddy Kane, Andre 3000, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, KRS-One, Jay Z, Game, Ice Cube, Big Pun, Nas, Drake, Kanye West, 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., LL Cool J, Talib Kweli, Q-Tip, Mos Def, Scarface, Jadakiss, Joe Budden, Redman, Ghostface Killah, Kool G Rap, DMX, Rakim, MF DOOM, Bun B, Busta Rhymes, Guru, Dr. Dre, Big K.R.I.T., Chuck D, Erick Sermon, and Black Thought.

Along the way, iconic MCs including Run, Kool Moe Dee, GZA, Big L, E-40, Big Boi, and current #1 album-maker Big Sean are on the verge of dismissal.

However, not all the match-ups are clearly determined approaching the March 7 deadline. There are seven ballots that are currently in margins of less than 15%, inevitably sending even more legends packing.
