Raekwon & A$AP Rocky Draw Parallels In Their Path To Stardom (Audio)

As 2015 continues to be a year of consistent Hip-Hop success, founding Wu-Tang member Raekwon has graced his fans with another release from his upcoming solo album Fly International Luxurious Art (F.I.L.A) (April 29) his first since his 2011 acclaimed LP, Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang.

In the song “I Got Money,” Raekwon and featured artist A$AP Rocky, both reflect on their struggles with the street life and their experience with “contraband.” However, throughout the song they also describe their well-earned success and the perks of their financially luxurious lifestyle with catchy wordplay over a beat produced by Symbolic One (a/k/a S1).

In addition to Rocky, other featured artists on the album are Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, “Purple Tape co-host” Ghostface Killah, Melanie Fiona and many more.

This isn’t the first time the two have worked together. A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg and Raekwon all appeared on track “Underground Killa$,” produced by Benson Graves, which was on the A$AP Mob mixtape, Lords Never Worry in 2012.

As a bonus, it’s worth noting that today the RIAA confirmed that A$AP Rocky’s 2013 debut LP, Long.Live.A$AP was certified gold. If anybody loves gold, it’s Raekwon The Chef.
