Chance The Rapper along with frequent collaborator/close friend Donnie Trumpet, have been selectively putting out music through their band, The Social Experiment for some time. In that span, listeners of the experimental Hip-Hop group have been waiting for a full body of work. Today, (May 29) Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment have finally released their long-awaited LP, titled Surf. 

This is the first time in over two years Heads have heard Chance on a full length project, since the release of the 2013 acclaimed breakthrough mixtape, Acid Rap. Core Chance fans might need imaginative ears for Surf, considering almost half the songs contain storytelling through the elegance a broad spectrum of instrumentation. Still, Donnie Trumpet (also known as his alias, Nigel Segal) and Chance The Rapper deliver a revitalizing sound through impressive vocals and versatile production.

The featured artists on the project range from elite rappers J. Cole and Busta Rhymes, to Soul/R&B artists  like Jesse Boykins III and Erykah Badu. Donnie and the band have released the album for free, and you can sync it right to your phone/laptop through iTunes.
