Showbiz & A.G. Plan Their First Album In 5 Years. Soul Clap To The Single. (Audio)

Twenty five years ago last month, Showbiz & A.G. released the Soul Clap EP. The first release from the Bronx, New York duo would launch a strong catalog, and give Lord Finesse some esteemed company in making Diggin’ In The Crates a stacked crew.

Show and ‘Dre have stayed a unit for the 25 years since. The former would eventually hang up the microphone, and go on to focus on beats and running the D.I.T.C. label and studio. On his own, A.G. went on to work with J Dilla, Madlib, DJ Premier, and others. In 2012, the clique dropped Mugshot Music, their first album in nearly 15 years. Now, they’re back after five more calendars with All Is Well. Coming this year (as is A.G.’s Taste of Ambrosia solo effort), today, the group dropped their first single, “Live With Show & A.” Moreover, they brought on two disciples in Roc Marciano and MF DOOM affiliate John Robinson.

The record features rugged spitting from three MCs with original flows and deliveries. On their own LPs, Show and A typically keep things in-house with D.I.T.C. and Ghetto Dwellas. They did involve Wu-Tang’s Method Man on 1995 LP, Goodfellas.
