Alchemist has been collaborating with some really interesting MCs for his “45 Craft Singles” series, and for his latest, he’s enlisted a pretty big star of the moment. Wiz Khalifa’s made a move over into the commercial echelon over the past few years, but he hasn’t forgotten his humble mixtape roots. Don’t get it twisted, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania representative is and has been a Hip-Hop head. Wiz has been a big supporter of veterans like Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J, Too Short, and Snoop Dogg. For the Taylor Gang General, who better to show his underground prowess (and ignite some “Khalifa Kush”) than Alchemist?

The producer/rapper combo just dropped a new joint called “Universal Studios,” and it’s the perfect song to kick off a chill weekend and kick back. The track has a very cinematic feel to it and takes on a vibe similar to Wiz’s celebrated Kush & OJ days.

“I don’t want no trouble, I just want to kick back with my Taylor’s / Or smoke my weed and live life like a player,” he raps on the song with his trademark cadence. “Learn the game, and there’s levels to this sh*t / Angels and all kinds of devils fighting and scratching to bring you down / When you gone and when you’re back around.”

This is just the latest Alchemist drop from his “45 Craft Singles” series. Previously, the Beverly Hills-based producer brought us collaborations with Roc Marciano, ScHoolboy Q, plus MC Eiht and Spice 1.

Wiz Khalifa is currently promoting his Rolling Papers 2 album, which he dropped on July 13 and reached #2 on the charts. That LP features Snoop, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Curren$y, the late Jimmy Wopo and others.
