Gang Starr’s Guru Dead at 43

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home, but we need your help to make it great. Please subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Keith “Guru” Elam died on April 20, 2010 at the age of 43 after a long battle with cancer.  I knew Guru personally and he was always nice and humble when we spoke.  Regardless of all the rumors that swirled around his death, he left a lasting musical legacy, both with his co-member of Gang Starr, DJ Premier, and solo.  He will be missed.  Click below for my tribute playlist and click here for a tribute from DJ Premier.
