B.o.B. played at S.O.B.’s on April 12.  He started with a true crunk set that would make the ATL proud, with nothing but his DJ (and manager) backing him.  Halfway through the show, he was joined by a full band and proceeded to rock the house with…well, a rock set.  If you missed either half of the set, you would not have believed the other half took place.  Dude has unbelievable diversity and courage for sticking to artistry over what is easily packaged.  The question is can an artist with such range succeed in today’s formatted music world?  B.o.B’s album B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray drops on April 27th.  Check it out if you love good music or just want to support someone who refuses to be categorized.

P.S.  Don’t compare him to Andre 3000!.
