Nas had an EPIC performance at SXSW last night. He performed Illmatic in its entirety and had not one but 2 DJs on the 1s and 2s. Those two DJs happened to be none other than Pete Rock and DJ Premier, who battled beat for beat mid-way through the show. The show featured a NYC-themed set, complete with authentic trash cans and a subway entrance. There was also a huge screened that showed vintage footage of Nas in the studio with the likes of Large Professor and Pete Rock, as well as various New York scenery. Below is a video of Nas’ entrance to The Genesis and his performance of New York State of Mind. As a bonus, there is also a video of him performing Life’s A Bitch with AZ. Stay tuned for the official video from VEVO. Previously: Nas – The Don (Prod. by Salaam Remi and Heavy D)
