Here’s Kendrick Lamar’s first ever mixtape, Y.H.N.I.C., which was originally released in 2003. It’s amazing to hear Kendrick’s progression over the years, both in terms of the evolution of his flow and the subject matter he discusses. He went from a more East Coast, Jay-Z-influenced style to one that is distinctly all his own. Even back then, he also managed to get features from Joe Budden and Freeway.
