Black Hippy Thoughts From The Road (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Ab-Soul. Jay Rock. Schoolboy Q. Kendrick Lamar. Although individual success is something they’re all enjoying, the members of Top Dawg Entertainment’s Black Hippy Crew feel what they’re accomplishing as a collective is just as important. All hailing from Southern California, the four members synced up long before the fame and fortune arrived, and have kept their ideologies along with their diligent work ethic intact. In this mini-documentary which hits the road with the entire TDE family, a light is shown on the roots of each individual member and how they all eventually came together. When discussing the crew’s rise to stardom and staying true to themselves, Kendrick went on to say “We didn’t run to mainstream, we made them mothafuckas come to us and see what we doin’.” And with the Compton MC receiving 14 nominations at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, their plan seems to be doing just fine.
