Often overlooked by many in comparison to his MMG label mates (Meek Mill and Wale), Stalley hopes to bring his lyricism to the forefront with his latest project Honest Cowboy. Although it’s a mixtape and not an album, Stalley promises that doesn’t mean it will lack in quality. Stating in a recent interview with Village Voice that “It’s a mixtape, but you know I treat anything with my name on it like a full album or project”. With dope features (Schoolboy Q, Scarface) and the entire tape being mixed by the legendary DJ Quik, the Ohio spitter might finally have the project that brings him out of that MMG shadow.
