While many rappers took offense to Kendrick Lamar’s bars on “Control,” others like Meek Mill didn’t see it as disrespect, instead understanding it’s all in the spirit of competition. During a recent interview with Elliott Wilson, when asked about his initial reaction to Kendrick’s verse the Maybach Music Group artist bluntly responded, “any nigga that like Hip-Hop liked that shit.” Meek was the first rapper that was actually mentioned in K Dot’s verse to respond on wax, explaining with a smile on his face “he was feelin’ himself talkin’ his shit, so I’ma feel myself and talk my shit… you shout out Meek Mill, we gonna have fun.”
