For as long as Heads can remember, Harlem’s Doug E. Fresh has been calling himself the World’s Greatest Entertainer. With the energy the living, working Hip-Hop pioneer brought to the 2013 Soul Train Awards, which aired last night, it’s hard to disagree.

Joined by Cali Swag District (who were discovered by Bangin’ On Wax O.G. Big Wy), Doug teaches ’em how to Dougie in a grand entrance, before turning to Big Daddy Kane, who 10 years removed from Dave Chappelle’s Block Party, still has all of his ’80s moves in tact. Then Slick Rick enters to perform a few classics, as The Get Fresh Crew joins the party for a master medley.

It’s dope to see great Hip-Hop honored. It’s even better to remind ourselves (and everybody else) who hasn’t lost a step in their amazing, tight live shows.
