The New Class Of Brooklyn-Queens MCs Unite On Maffew Ragazino’s Brownsville’s Jesus (Mixtape)

Action Bronson’s first album Dr. Lecter was not heavy on guests. However, fans got an early taste of Brownsville, Brooklyn’s Maffew Ragazino (“Jerk Chicken”). With Caribbean influence, Ragazino Sr. colors the streets from his neighborhood, the same blocks that birthed close associates Heltah Skeltah, M.O.P., and also Smoothe Da Hustler.

The MC’s been very busy since 2011, and with 2014 off to a slower, focused start, Sr. fills the void with his Brownsville’s Jesus mixtape. Some of the Kings County MCs really making noise show out for their homie, as Bronson, Torae, Skyzoo, and Troy Ave. appear. Production comes courtesy of veteran hit-maker/State Property affiliate Bink!, as well as !llmind, and Jedi Mind Tricks affiliate Vanderslice.
