The Black Sheep flag waves high. Dres and A Tribe Called Quest’s Jarobi formed Evitan a few years back, and have stayed busy. Now, Mista Lawnge has made a cross-country outfit with Ras Kass. Fans of mid-’90s lyricism could not have predicted this union, but from Black Sheep, it’s now The White Crows.

While The Police’s smash hit “Roxanne” has been reworked by The Fugees & Diddy, and re-used as the back-beat of one of Cam’ron’s S.D.E. hits, fans of the chop may feel this usage on “Kick Rocks”:
