Jon Connor Does Some Flint, Michigan Surgery On A Grip Of Kanye West Songs (Mixtape)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home, but we need your help to make it great. Please subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Even though he’s in Dr. Dre’s corner at Aftermath Entertainment, Jon Connor’s playbook has not changed. The Flint, Michigan MC who paid tribute to MC Breed, got a cosign from Nas, and made the Hip-Hop/R&B charts with 2013’s self-released Unconscious State is back to concept mixtapes. Two years removed from While You Were Sleeping, Connor makes—what he calls—The Late Registration of a College Dropout who had a Dark Twisted Fantasy of 808s And Heartbreak (yep, that’s the title, so he’s also calling it just #BestInTheWorld). Evident from the former of two titles, J.C. is in a Kanye West state of mind. Through a DJ Drama-hosted tape, Connor tackles some G.O.O.D. music, and makes it his own for the fans:
