Jon Connor Reveals The Terms Of His Aftermath Contract In The Kick Off To A New Freestyle Series (Audio)

Even with an A on his chest (no Scarlet Letter), Jon Connor is back to his roots. The Flint, Michigan native, who signed with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment has still remained quiet, seemingly unaltered since inking his deal over BET Hip-Hop Awards weekend. Instead, J.C. retains his grind of self-released product, careful collaborations, and fan engagement.

Managed by Maybach Music Group’s Young Sav, Connor gets the greenlight to hop on Rick Ross & Jay Z’s “The Devil Is A Lie” instrumental. On the cut, Jon breaks the ice, and bodies the bars about his latest life and times. Along the way, the always-candid MC even states the amount of money that changed hands when he joined the label that Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Eve made mainstream.

This kicks off #ConnorSeason, presumably a freestyle series blessing Mondays for these warm-up weeks.
