Ab-Soul Bears His Cross in Stigmata (Video)

In 1999, Nas released what, at the time, was an extremely controversial video for his song “Hate Me Now.” The video depicted Nas being crucified and the airing of a version also featuring Puff Daddy on the cross led to the infamous Champagne bottle altercation between Diddy and Steve Stoute. 15 years later, Ab-Soul has his own cross to bear in the video for “Stigmata.” Though the video likely won’t generate the same type of controversy “Hate Me Now” did, the imagery is no less provocative.

It’s been a whirlwind of back and forth between Ab-Soul and his management in regards to when exactly his project, These Days, will officially release. Ab’s open threats to release it unannounced and Dangeroo Kipawaa‘s attempt to let fans choose the date on Twitter have left many fans of the Black Lip Pastor in the dark.

The wait is now over, as Ab-Soul lifts the veil on the release date in the video. Check it out.
